Privacy Policy

The app does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, sign-in, or any personal profile.

The only information you can actively provide is through the optional Feedback form. If you choose to send feedback, we receive the message you write and, if you add it, your email address (which is optional and used only so we can reply). We do not collect feedback unless you submit it yourself.

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, which screens are opened, when a video is played, and when content is updated. These events help us improve the app.

This analytics data is anonymous. We do not collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), location, or any information that identifies you personally, and we do not use cookies or device fingerprinting. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Your favorite videos, your language and subtitle preferences, and downloaded learning content are stored locally on your device only. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by deleting the app.

Some videos are played from YouTube or Instagram. When you watch such a video, content is loaded from those services, and they may process data according to their own privacy policies — especially if you are signed in to them. We do not control and are not responsible for those third-party services.

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate Kartuligram: Umami (anonymous analytics) and Resend (to deliver feedback emails to us). They process only the limited data described above on our behalf.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or biometric information. The app does not use the camera or microphone. There is no advertising, and there are no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.

Anonymous analytics events are retained by our analytics provider only as long as needed to understand usage trends. Feedback messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and improve the app, and you can ask us to delete them.

Kartuligram is intended for a general audience of language learners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because the app does not require an account and stores your preferences on your device, you are in control of your data. You can delete all locally stored data by removing the app. If you have sent feedback and would like it deleted, or have any privacy question, contact us using the details below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
